Lindang is a small town situated in the Municipality of Diplhan, Zamboanga Sibugay. It has 141 households with a total population of 693 individuals. The land is highly agricultural with rice, coconuts and corn as its main crops. Geographically it is a high land community divided into seven (7) puroks.
The Brgy. Is known for its hanging bridge which stretches from the edge of Purok 4 to the Boundary of Lindang before Barangays Luop and Pilar. Below it is the Sibugay river which runs across the length of Diplahan. It is believed that crocodiles inhabit the river but people can still be seen washing clothes and taking baths in the enticingly calm river. Lindang hanging bridge was built in the early 90s and since then it has served a lot people not only from lindang but also from Luop and Pilar in their day-to-day activities.
By virtue of Senate Bill passed in the late 50s, Diplahan, which was originally a part of Municipality of Malangas, has achieved its right to become a Municipality. Having passed the law, Brgy. Lindang was one of the Barangays that have been included in Diplahan.
The Brgy. has also other facilities that caters the needs of the people. It has Brgy. Hall, multipurpose covered court, a barangay health station (BHS), a chapel, a high school, an elementary school and a day care center. Each purok has their own kiosk which serves as mini-gathering place of the community people.
